I SING MY MIND ELECTRIC
Whitman sang the body electric,
But I sing the body eclectic, and life electric,
Of fate eccentric and love elusive!
My essence is not of my body.
I am NOT my body!
I am more ephemeral, more ethereal
Than the crudity of my flesh!
My mind is my oasis, my eternity!
My mind is where I sing my song and find my joy!
My mind is my beauty, my intrigue,
My sanctuary, my philosophy, my elation!
My body is a fortress of unrequited desire,
Wrapped in a suffocating cloak of vulgarity.
So I sing my mind electric, eclectic, eccentric and enigmatic.
My mind, yes my mind, of thee I sing!!!
